OUR STORY
1983
Don and Carol Wise began Engineered Specialty Products, Inc., in the basement of their home in Georgia.
1983
Don purchased a property in Kennesaw, GA at 3295 Cobb International Boulevard.
2006
A second warehouse was added, doubling the square footage to 40,000 square feet.
2007
ESP was recognized as one of the top 25 privately held small businesses in Cobb County.
2007 + 2009
Inc. Magazine recognized the success of ESP and included ESP on the Inc. 5000 annual ranking of the fastest growing private companies in America.
2013
ESP was acquired by Tonka Bay, a private equity firm.
2016
ESP signed a formal agreement to franchise the Bourdon brand from Baumer to be the sole representation in the USA market.
2016
ESP added a Warehouse Management System and Engineering capabilities.
2017
ESP assembled and invoiced our first manufactured gauge.
2018
ESP signed a formal agreement with Bourdon for exclusive rights to sell and manufacture Bourdon branded products in the USA market.
2019
ESP agreed to add Mexico to the Bourdon agreement for exclusive rights.
2019
ESP acquired Weksler Glass Thermometer Company (WGTC).
2019
Developed our own customer business intelligence interface using Power BI.
2021
ESP received our first patent for a safety feature in the new Bourdon process gauge.
2022
Flow Control Group (FCG) acquired ESP.
2023
ESP acquired Marsh Instruments.
